Mr. Howe holds a Master of Art in Business Administration from Cuttington University in Liberia. He formerly worked with the Ministry of Finance as Head of the Sector Ministries and Agencies. He also holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Journalism and also worked as Assistant Public Relations Manager of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation as well as Staff Writer/Proof Reader of the First National Poll Newspaper.

Mr. Howe joined the IIC in 2012 as Administrator and Head of Secretariat. He has since administered the administrative and technical activities of the Commission until present. Commissioner Chikondi Chijozi is the Chairperson of the Malawi Human Rights Commission for the 8th Cohort. She is a passionate human rights lawyer with 20 years’ experience in human rights work. Ms. Chijozi holds a Master of Laws (International Human Rights Law) from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College.

She is currently working for the Southern Africa Litigation Centre (SALC), where she heads the Criminal Justice Program. In 2020, she was awarded by the Women Lawyers Association as the best female lawyer in the NGO sector.

Ahmed Ahid Rasheed is the Information Commissioner of the Maldives. Prior to being appointed to this position in September 2021, he worked at Transparency Maldives, Transparency International’s local chapter in Maldives, as their Governance Manager. Ahid has been working in promoting access to information since he joined Transparency Maldives in 2013. His work in this area included advocating for the enactment of strong access to information law, stronger enforcement of the law, and in raising awareness amongst the public of this right. His work in other areas includes advocating for protection of whistleblowers, migrant worker rights, and asset declarations of public officials. Prior to this he worked as Legal Officer at the Anti-Corruption Board. Ahid holds an LLB (Hons.) Law Degree from Staffordshire University, UK.

Head of authority: Omar SEGHROUCNHI graduated from EMI (Ecole Mohammedia d’Ingénieurs) in 1986. Then he obtained a postgraduate degree (DEA) in Mathematics and Automation. He also holds a master’s degree in Diplomacy and Strategy, and a master’s degree in Business Intelligence.

His career began in research and teaching, before joining the field of consulting. He managed several major transformation projects in both the private and public sectors in France and Morocco. Head of authority: Mr IMED HAZGUI was born in Tunis , he holds a Master’s degree in Legal Sciences from the Faculty of Legal ,Political and Social Sciences of Tunis , a post-graduate doctorate in International Public Law from the Faculty of Law of Nancy (France) and a post-graduate doctorate in Public Law from the Faculty of law Pantheon-Sorbonne ( Paris 1).

He is member of the Tunisian Bar since 1995 , served as Adviser of foreigner affairs at the Ministry of foreigner affairs between 1996-1998 and as a judge at the Administrative Court of Tunis since 1998 until 2017.

He was also chairman of the Tax Review Board of Taxation Orders at the Ministry of Finance for 5 years (2012-2017).

Mr. HAZGUI was elected on the 18th of July 2017 by the Tunisian Parliament as the President of the new Independent Authority for Access to Information.

Mr HAZGUI taught for several years at the National School of Administration of Tunis and at the Higher Institute of Magistrates and has published many articles in specialized revues and magazines in the field of law and public freedoms.
